During the project, the memories of people from around Morecambe Bay were recorded. Together these oral history recordings, along with recordings made by pupils in eight local primary schools, have become part of a permanent archive so that in the future people can listen and discover information about this area. A diverse range of oral histories have been collected including topics such as wartime life in Barrow, working at Heysham Port, Morecambe’s Super Swimming Stadium and the community memories of Canal Foot, Ulverston. You can hear the archive at https://www.recordingmorecambebay.org.uk/
