Morecambe Bay Lives is a project all about connecting children and communities with their local memories. In various primary schools around Morecambe Bay classes have enjoyed learning about others' memories and sharing their own.
"It’s nice to share memories with other people and after they have shared it with me I can share it with another person and another person. That memory will keep on forever!” Year 4 pupil
“I enjoyed interviewing the older people as they were really friendly. I think that we did the project to break down the walls between young and old people.” Thomas year 5

Projects in schools, led by Emma Aylett, focus on local memories, community identity and learning new skills such as interviewing and photography. Within each project there is the opportunity to bring older members of the community together informally with primary pupils to share memories.
On each school page you can find out more about each school project.
