Here we will share some of the interesting things we have come across  during the project.

Hyning Hall, near Warton, now a convent was once the seat of Lord Peel. Edgar Kettlewell was once Hynning's Head Gardener and his son kindly shared his recollections of the estate and his father's work

Misty Slopes

Mrs Carrick shared her memories about being an Aqualovley, one of the synchronished swimming team that performed at Morecambe's Super Swimming Stadium. Mrs Carrick loved her time as an Aqualovley in the 1960s.  Programme from 1961

A glove made by Kate Ling whilst she was a pupil at Heversham School in the 1950s. She also remembers knitting dishcloths every year for the Shrove Tuesday sale.

Overton St Helens Morecambe Bay Lives.JP

One of the attendees at the Overton St Helens CE Primary memory share brought in the key to the old village school. It was massive and very heavy!
